Registering University Candidates
Follow the steps to register your school’s students choice of field of study and university.
1. Click on the link “Login” to open the login screen and enter your username and password in the space provided to login into the UniPlacer Sub-system that allows you to start registering university applications for candidates.
2. If your username and password is correct, your login will be successful. On the left side of the page, a side bar that shows the 'App. Functions' box is displayed. In this box, click on the 'Make Placement Application' option and the placement application page is displayed. You can see your school's name on the page.
3. Enter the student’s exam admission/registration number in the text box provided and click the symbol to search for the student. If the number entered is valid, the student's full name will be shown along with a list of her/his field of study choices.
4. The screen you are looking at has a list of Field of Studies in front. The list of Universities is at the back and you can see it by clicking on the link “Universities” located at the left side of the list or by clicking "Next" button at the bottom.
5. To rearrange the list of “Field of studies” as per the choices of a student, select the field of study you want to order. There are a number of options to position the selection in the list.
a. The "Set Choice Order" button allows you to position a selected choice at a specified order entered in the text box to its left in one step. Just select the choice from the list, type in the position you want it to move and click "Set Choice Order". Stop clicking when the selected field of study is on a position you want.
b. The “Up” or “Down” buttons at the right side of the list of choices enable you to move the selected choice up or down one step at a time.
c. The "Top" and "Bottom" buttons enable you to move a selection either at the top-most or bottom-most positions in the list in one step.
6. Repeat any of the above methods till all choices appear in the right order from top to bottom of the list.
7. Click the “Next” button located at the bottom, to save your changes and proceed to work on the Universities choice.
8. Rearrange the list of “Universities” in exactly the same manner as you did for the field of study choices.
Click the “Finish” button located under the Universities choice list, to save your changes on Universities choice and complete the candidate's application process.
Click the sign to abandon the registration process (edition also) and clear the field of study and university choices lists from the screen for the current candidate. Please be careful as any changes made might be lost.
Click the sign to delete both field of study and university choices for the current candidate.
Click the to verify whether all allowed options of fields of study and universities have been selected for all candidates of the school. If it is found that there are discrepancies, system notifies user of candidates whose applications have problems.
Click the to generate the application confirmation sheet to be signed by students on MS Excel. User shall format the Excel file on a landscape layout with the width fitting on a single A4 size sheet. The length setting should be free to accommodate the number of candidates of the school that might possibly run into a number of pages.
Click the sign to generate the list of eligible candidates of your school on MS Excel. This list shows whether university application has been made or not for each of the candidates for your follow-up. You may print a copy of the list on paper for your reference.
The "Statistic" link to the right gives you the number of all candidates at your school along with how many of them have their field of study and university choices registered.
Please make sure you logout of the system when you are finished with your session of placement application registration. The "Logout" link is located in the "School's Corner" box at the right side of the page. If you leave without logging out of the system, unauthorized people will get a chance to access the data your registered.
